The narrow streets of the old Corfu town is the place where the landladies hang everyday's laundry using a rope and a tackle block. And so, when you walk around in the backstreets of the old town you have a sky full of flying clothes over your head. It is sad that since UNESCO declared the old city of Corfu a cultural monument, the officials have issued an order to stop this kind of wash line phenomenon and will help each house buy its own clothes dryer.

I think this is interesting and deserves to remain part of the culture.

This looks like it's from a book or something. Brilliant work. This definitely needs to be enlarged and displayed. Instant favorite. Well done.

Excellent capture. I like the angle, colors and perspective. The hanging clothes make it interesting. Although it could be a relief for some to have a dryer. I say some because many of the elders don't know any other way.

i really like the colors, composition, perspective. this is a beautiful capture. it really gives the sensation of smallness.. and i don't see why they should stop hanging their clothes. it reallyadd something special to the city!
